  • The Middle Jurassic represents a critical interval for dinosaur diversification; however, ichnological records from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau remain relatively sparse. To better understand the paleoecology of this region, a systematic study of the Dabuka Formation in the Changdu Basin, Tibet, was conducted. Here, an abundant and diverse dinosaur track assemblage is reported, comprising 14 ichnotaxa identified at 15 tracksites. Utilizing 3D height images for detailed morphological analysis, the assemblage was found to be dominated by theropod tracks. These include the previously reported Grallator anietangensis and Wildeichnus isp., as well as the newly discovered Anchisauripus? isp., Kayentapus isp., Eubrontes isp., and three indeterminate theropod morphotypes. Sauropod tracks are also frequent, although less diverse, representing two distinct ichnotaxa. Additionally, four ambiguous ornithopoda and thyreophora ichnotaxa are described. Potential track makers are discussed, but the trackmakers of the two thyreophora morphotypes remain highly uncertain. The Dabuka Formation primarily consists of purple-red terrigenous sandstone, siltstone and mudstone. Sedimentary facies analysis supporting supporting evidence for the paleoenvironmental conditions in which the dinosaur faunas lived. The Dabuka Formation records a flourishing dinosaur habitat situated near fluvial and lacustrine systems under an arid paleoclimate. The high similarity between this ichnoassemblage and those from the adjacent Yunnan and Sichuan provinces speculatively suggests that dinosaurs likely migrated between these inland basins during the Middle Jurassic.
